Meet the Speakers
Dr. Karen Wilson, Clinical Neuropsychologist
In addition to being the founder of ChildNEXUS, Dr. Wilson is a clinical neuropsychologist specializing in assessing neurodevelopmental disorders. She has extensive experience evaluating children, adolescents, and young adults who present with learning, processing, or social-emotional challenges. As the Director of West LA Neuropsychology, PC, she uses her in-depth understanding of brain-behavior relationships to help identify the causes of difficulties individuals are experiencing and utilize comprehensive and evidence-based approaches to determine one’s unique neurocognitive profile and develop a treatment plan tailored to each child, adolescent or young adult.

Heather Zakson represents children and adults in special education, Regional Center and discrimination cases and provides expert consultation on special needs trusts and complex custody matters. She is widely recognized for her creativity and tenacity on behalf of children and adults whose rights have been violated and needs have gone unmet.

Sari Goodman, Certified Parent Educator and Trainer
Sari Goodman supports parents by developing an understanding of family dynamics to create an action plan that reduces chaos and brings calm. She has been an educator of students, teachers, and parents for over 30 years.
Vickie Waller, Educational Therapist
For over 40 years, Victoria Waller, Ed.D., has been a reading specialist and educational therapist. She helps children ages 5-11 who have trouble reading and writing, can't sit still in class, and don't feel like they can participate.
